"There's nothing to writing.
All you do is sit down
and open a vein."
- Red Smith, Sportswriter, 1905-1982
I have always loved that quote. I have always thought it was equally applicable to psychotherapy.
Another parallel between writing and couchtalking: Too many people think because they once scored an A- (or B+) on an essay, they can write. Too many more people think that because someone once (or twice) told them, "You are such a good listener," they have all life's answers, and are often all-too-willing to offer them to you.
Today's a doubleheader (woo [insert sarcasm here] hoo): talk-doc and pill-doc. Don't misunderstand my derision. It may not always be fun, but it is always necessary.
Kind of like writing. Huh. Another parallel: They've both saved my life.

I can imagine how much 'fun' those two appointments were but at least you can say that they're another step towards full recovery. Hope all went well for you.
